2018 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize

The 2018 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize was awarded to Agence Christiane Schmuckle-Mollard for the rehabilitation of the Karl Marx School in Villejuif, France, designed and built by André Lurçat in 1933.

This booklet describes the history of the building, its restoration project, as well as a look at the prize’s first-ever Special Mention, awarded to Harboe, PC for the restoration of Unity Temple in Oak Park, Illinois, and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1908.
