National Trust for Historic Preservation announced a new preservation project at the birthplace of Nina Simone

On Thursday, the National Trust for Historic Preservation announced that HOPE Crew will undertake a new preservation project at the birthplace of Nina Simone in Tryon, North Carolina—a site that WMF is helping steward towards a brighter future. The work of HOPE Crew provides young people with preservation trades training across the United States. Last year, WMF began a partnership to ensure the artistic and social impact of Nina Simone’s legacy will live on through conservation of the house.
